Hello. I’m Carlo and welcome to my website.
I am a freelance artist and I work out of my home located in picturesque Granville, Ohio. My current work consists mostly of character and toy design, children's book illustration, packaging illustration and story boarding. Some of my clients are; Hasbro Toys, The Walt Disney Company, SBC Advertising, Bob Evans Restaurants, Harper Collins and Scholastic Books.
I am originally from Toronto, Canada where in 1992 I graduated from the Classical Animation program at Sheridan College. I was hired as a Character Artist at Disney Consumer Products for 2 years in Toronto and then for 7 more years in Burbank California where I achieved the position of Character Art Director. In 2001 my wife and I decided to leave the security of Disney and the monotonous sun of LA to move back to her home town in Ohio and attempt the unthinkable… …start our own business. I've been freelancing ever since. The experience has been a truly gratifying one and with the arrival of this website, while not uncommon these days, marks a special point in my career. I started out as a kid who just liked to scribble and draw space ships. The fact that I have actually been able to make a living doing this is a constant source of amazement to me and a constant source of amusement for my publishing rep! Let’s hope it all doesn’t just come to a screeching halt now that this website is up!
All the artwork on this site, unless otherwise stated, has been completely drawn, inked, painted or sculpted by myself. Please enjoy perusing the images and feel free to contact me or my publishing agent with any work inquiries. Our contact info can be conveniently found on the “Contacts” page of this site. Since all of the work here is proprietary in nature the following bit of “legalese” applies: “All artwork and text on this website are copyrighted by Carlo Lo Raso Studios or to the respective clients listed. No image or text from this site may be published or printed without written permission by the artist or copyright owners.”

Thanks for stopping by.

P.S. I’d like to give thanks to my wife and I dedicate this site to her. Just because.
